  • JAMAL MOHAMED COLLEGE was founded in 1951. It is established in a sprawling land area of 87 acres in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.

  • The Academic Year 2010-11 is the 60th Year of Service for Jamal Mohamed College (DIAMOND JUBILEE YEAR).
  • Dr M Sheik Mohamed, the Former Principal of Jamal Mohamed College, received the BEST TEACHER AWARD for 2008-2009 from the State Higher Education Minister, K.Ponmudy, Government of Tamil Nadu in recognition of his 36 years of Teaching and Research Experience.
  • Jamal Mohamed College currently offers 20 Under-Graduate Courses, 21 Post-Graduate Courses, 15 M.Phil. Courses and 15 Ph.D Courses.
  • The total strength of Jamal Mohamed College is 11,030 students including 3,730 women students as at 31 July 2012.

  •  JAMAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT (JIM) affiliated to Bharathidasan University was established in the Golden Jubilee Year of 2000-2001 to offer MBA, M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes.
  •  Jamal Mohamed College started Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme in a separate Institute as JAMAL MOHAMED COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION in 2007.
